Volkswagen Vehicles have gone through a slight rise in their retail price recently. The prices for this particular model have risen.
The retail prices for Volkswagen cars have increased during the last 6 months. In October the price for a car is $93,305 increasing till $100,367 in November. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from $96,836 to $99,705.5. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from $98,270.75 to $101,200.5 during February and March.
The average price for Volkswagen has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2020, the average price is $21,444.41. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" ($6,478) moving up till ($63,447)in 2020. During the next two years (2021, 2022) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 184 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 9 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample ($66,623.5) and the the last two years that were studied (2023, 2024) with a price of $72,442.
